“Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do!” These words from the famous Apple Ad (which, by the way, is an all time favorite) reflect my philosophy in life. I always believe in challenging the status-quo, and in doing my bit to change the world around me.
Professionally, I am a techie turned biz-techie. After obtaining an undergraduate degree in Computer Science and Engineering from National Institute of Technology (MNNIT), Allahabad, I worked as a Software Developer for four years with Computer Associates and Adobe Systems. Currently, I am pursuing MBA with concentrations in Marketing & Strategy from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School, and by May 2011, I hope to be ready for helping people with the technology of business, and the business of technology.
Personally, I call myself an introvert chatterbox.
No! this is not an oxymoron!! I am a bit reserved at times, but when I start speaking, you may have a hard time shutting me up!
My interests, in no particular order, include new technology (especially relating to social media and online channels), photography (just learning the ropes), killing time online (blog-hopping, Facebook etc) and offline (meaningful discussions, meaningless chats) and doling out unsolicited advice to unsuspecting recipients.
Seriously speaking about the last of these, I find myself very passionate about student counseling and education, and I dream of translating this passion to some meaningful contribution to education in India one day.
“Racing towards Infinity” is an attempt at expressing my opinions and sharing my experiences in life. I plan to keep this blog updated with my reviews (on books, movies, technologies), my stand on social, political and business issues, some experiences from my life, and sometimes, my dreams and future plans. BTW, why “Racing towards Infinity”? This is just my phrase reflecting a desire for never-ending improvement, and for setting higher goals each time I accomplish my previous ones. To word it with another of my favorite quote, “Race to Perfection has no finish line!!”
